World record gold bar

The record for the largest fine gold bullion bar ever made was broken recently after the Emirates Minting Factory produced a bar that weighs over 300kg and is worth, at current prices, over £20 million! The previous record was held by the Toi gold mine with their 250kg effort.

Mohammed Kharsa, deputy general manager of the gold factory that crafted the bar said it took them around 8-10 hours to make it. It was produced by smelting over 300kg of smaller fine gold bars in a huge mold. It's now officially the largest pure gold bar in the world.
